Some Highlights--Going Back to 1992 Beginnings

2007
The year started with  close to 160 members living in Wayne, Washtenaw, Monroe, Lenaway, as well as Oakland and other southeast Michigan counties.  There are also a few members from Canada, Ohio, and other US state locations.

2006

bulletParticipate in parades in Chelsea, Ypsilanti, New Boston, and Northville, Michigan
bulletParticipate in National and State Two-Cylinder shows
bulletMonthly meetings at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Saline, MI since 2001 and at members farms through the summer
bulletRing bells at Christmas for Salvation Army and donations to needy families in each of three counties.

September, 2003

Our second raffle with a drawing at Wiard's Tractor Show.
September, 2001 Club bus trip to the Octagon Barn in the Thumb area of Michigan
August, 2000 Moved our annual Club Show to Schettenhelm's Farm.
August, 1999 State Two-Cylinder Clubs Gathering at Wayne County Fairgrounds was sponsored by our club. We brought 300 tractors and held a $100,000 tractor auction by Polk. Held our first raffle, which grossed $18,000. Equipment for raffle was donated by Hoyt Whelen of Tecumseh, Mi.
1995 Hosted visitors from the UK Two-Cylinder Club. Had a potluck at Candice and Bob Youtsey's home.
August, 1995 Opal and Bob Graichen hosted Threshing Party and potluck at their farm. Has been an annual event since that time.
1994 Train trip to Toronto to see the Phantom of the Opera.
1993 First bus trip to see the Canadian Tow Cylinder show.
1993 First Club Show held at Waechter's Farm where 220 tractors were present. (Our current registry is at 700 tractors!)
Spring, 1993 First Plow Day was held in Belleville, MI - Tyler Road location - 35 tractors plowed.
December, 1992 First Club Christmas Party - 200 in attendance. Grossed $1,800 from auction. (Now, the Christmas party is an annual event.)
September, 1992 Started having regular meetings at Wayne County Fairgrounds. Have had many speakers talk about two-cylinder related subjects at our meetings.
June, 1992 First club outing at Saline Farm-Fest.  We had 96 tractors there.
March, 1992 First meeting at Golden Boy Restaurant in Belleville. 77 people attended. (Our current membership is 200 persons!)
February 22, 1992 Meeting at a (to be) founding member's home to plan for a Two Cylinder tractor club. 16 founders attended.
Fall of 1991 Several (to be) founding members talked at an auction about starting a club and then asked Mike Park to help them.
