Club Member Profile

Ken Havekost lives with his family in Monroe County, Michigan.  His main life-long avocation has been to collect, restore and display Nash, Rambler and American Motors automobiles and memorabilia.  Ken is a member of a Nash Collectors Club which brings many people from different locations including some European countries to see his restored cars and memorabilia.  His son has developed a website that is used to publicize and sell components of Ken's collections located at www.nashparts.com.

Additionally, he has a large collection of John Deere tractors, mowers, bicycles, and other John Deere implements, most of which he restored.  Ken built a large metal building to function as a display area and museum for his extensive collections. The photo above shows Ken in his museum with two of his John Deere tractors in the foreground and Nash vehicles in the background.  In the same photo, note the yellow tractor is a 1938 BI model (Industrial model for which only 181 tractors were produced) and the adjacent green tractor is a 1945 BR.
