Ron Love
currently is the club registrar keeping records of serial numbers of all
club member tractors. He lives in Wayne, Michigan with family and
currently works at Ford Motor Company.
He grew up on a farm in Wayne county and helped his
grandfather on his farm in Washtenaw county. On weekends and in
the summers, he worked the ground and cultivated for his father and
grandfather using his dad's John Deere "B."
Ron currently owns a 1930 JD "D" Steel Wheels, a 1940 JD "B" -
Slanted Dash, a 1944 and 1945 "B", a 1947 "A", and a
1946 "LA". He has a lawn tractor collection including a
1967 John Deere model 70, a model 214, and a model STX38, plus a
Simplicity with a sickle bar and mowing deck. He also has a
collection of John Deere toy tractors including a pewter Model "B" (a
1/10 scale model from the Franklin Mint). Ron is shown above with his 1945 John Deere "B."
